Flip Saunders- never should have been hired.
He came here as the new authorative figure with the plan, yet he himself
never won a championship. The players he was to coach had just won a
ring and returned to the finals a second time. Saunders also made a
fatal error in implementing more zone defense when aggressive man to man
is what beat LA.
He was doomed and that should have been recognized immediately.

Avery Johnson- good communitive coach, rose Dallas to a new level of
respect in the more COMPETITIVE Western Conference. Made it to the
finals despite having a super star in Dirk with no real back bone. He
also knows how to develope young talent....see Howard and Terry.

Rasheed Wallace- should have been moved after the championship year and
Flip might have had a chance. The two Wallaces might as well have been
brothers of egotism. Sheed negative attitude and on court antics could
have been harnassed by a stronger man like, Laimbeer, Mahorn, Doug
Collins, Carlisle....
Pack his bags and send him on his way even if we can't get a mickey
mouse for him. His personality is too damaging.

Chauncy Billups- This guy despite impressive stats hasn't shown up in
the playoffs in two seasons other than to turn the ball over. Time to
send him home to Denver for A I.

Allen Iverson- proven player, and a much better back court for Rip
Hamilton considering their speed. Plus A I is respectful of the game
and twice as hungry as Dyss for championship.

Prince, Maxiell, Dyss, Lindsey stay put for another run. We just need a
strong rebounding center, not really a scoring threat. Just a guy who
can board and trigger the outlet pass.

Also I give Joe Dumars an F for not firing Flip two seasons ago. And an
F minus for hiring him in the first place.

What happened to your prediction for Denver championships?

I never stated that Denver would win a championship. The west is far to
well balanced. But with two of the league top scorers on the same
roster they were competitive.

And Terr if you can't see that A I is a better fit with Rip than Billups
is, you're not the Terr I've come to respect.

The speed of that pair alone would drive teams bonkers (white man's
word). But we can't dismiss all the other players, needed still are
Prince, Dyss , Maxie, and even Hunter.
Just need that center spot filled, cause Sheed's done, stick a fork in
him.

Couldn't we have saved time by simply firing Flip two years ago when I
suggested it?

Say what you will about Piston Bill Laimbeer, can't call him an
ex-piston though. This guy bleeds the Piston logo out of his veins.

Laimbeer should be the new Detroit Piston coach, this guy has overcome
all odds to obtain greatness. He's a proven winner, knows the game and
is a fierce fierce competitor which was reflected in his development of
the Detroit Shock. Right now a disciplinarian and motivator such as big
Bill is required to lead this team forward into becoming one of the
elite teams of the East.

Don't forget Phoenix v. Detroit in the championship round.

Don't forget that the only thing that matters is how many rings a guy has,
which is important because Iverson has, um....

Don't forget that a win is a loss and a loss is a win.

Don't forget about UFOs building Stonehenge....

Don't forget about those Darko sneaks going on sale next year.

Don't forget about Anita Darling being his daughter.

You are right, just that the west would win that year...they did not...
You had them as a contender though.... did not have predictions of them
getting swept out in the first round twice either...

Allen Iverson headed out of the city of brotherly love and into the
rocky mountains of Denver, will leave all here singing Rocky Mountain
Low.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the NBA championship
will be won in the West this year, huh! Denver, recent rising of LA
Lakers, Dallas, San Antonio, all headed upward and all the East can
offer is the Miami Heat.

The only thing beneficial is that we might be able to hang onto Chauncy
now that Denver has its man.

So you figure they will rebuild by trading a 32 year old PG for a 33 year
old SG because he is a better first with their SG...
What did 'we' say about that when you told Dumars to get it done?
