According to ESPN, we get Voshon Lenard & Vitaly Potapenko out of the
3-way with Denver & Seattle. Sounds good to me as they both have
contracts that end at with this season & it finally unloads Patterson's
contract.

Go Blazers !

I wonder if that signals the end of Smith's time here, or if they're
just going to waive Vashon.

The Oregroanian says Smith is also going to Denver in the deal. Of
course, I'll believe the whole thing when it's officially announced,
but it sounds OK to me, even if Smith is included.

Yep, my bad on Potapenko's contract & it does leave us with a lot of
big men. Maybe they're not too sure they can hang onto Pryz?

Chance of that plus Theo can play backup at PF as well.
At least they will have someone to start at center tomorrow...

Lenard is a good addition now if he can play? Is he out injured again? They could use his shooting
and with his injuries and age might be able to keep him cheap next year.

And Patterson... =) They will miss his game at times but oh well to that...

Perfect, Dan! You need to cross-post that to our friends in the LA ng
before someone else takes credit for it. : )

Well, Lenard's played about a dozen games so far this season, although
I'm not sure that's all due to injury(ies) or if he's supposed to come
back to full strength. Skinner's not getting much playing time this
year, but that should change at least in the short term as we are
desparate for someone to stand in the paint & do something.

Monia's certainly not a deal-breaker, but at 22 he could turn out to a
player we'll wish we had kept. Of course, he could just as easily turn
out to be a career 5-10 mpg guy, too. I guess that's where I got the
dice rolling part.

Skinner looks to be guaranteed 5-6 million a year for 2 more seasons.
Don't know if that bodes well for him staying here or not. I have to
admit I haven't seen him play enough to know what to expect, so I'll
hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Go Blazers !

he has a team option on the 2nd year, so he's only on the books for 1
more year.

he's a decent backup PF, and in reality, Monia was lost in the shuffle.
Let's hope another trade doesn't end up biting us in the ass.
