I'm just looking at the box score. It's hard to believe the Sixers won this
game. Consider:
1. Andre Ig, the proverbial star of the team plays 42 minutes, shoots 5-14.
Ugh.
2. Dalembert still injured, so Calvin Booth gets a start. But not much
else. Goes 7 minutes, does not score, picks up one lonely rebound, but does
crash around for four fouls. Hmmmm. Jason Smith, looking better all the
time.
3. Actually, Smith gets a start this game, too! He does not do much better
at PF. Sixteen minutes, five personal fouls.
4. Rodney Carney gets a start in his battle for two guard minutes, makes
the worst of it, shooting 3-12. Sheesh.
I guess our heroes won because the Nets could not make free throws or
three-pointers. And thank you, Jason Kidd, for not playing. This enabled
Andre Miller to shoot 8-10 over old, tiny, Darrel Armstrong. Probably
related, the Nets had 21 turnovers.
Willie Green hit some three-pointers. Otherwise, it's hard to find anything
positive in this box, except of course, the score! Let's hope that
Dalembert's foot gets all better real soon.

I've also been critical of his recent percentages and lack of attempts
but I'm glad to observe that he's still doing the other things--in
this game 9 boards and 4 assists. I have some confidence that his
shooting will improve once Cheeks finally settles on a rotation and he
can find a rhythm. Because he's never been an assertive guy
offensively, he needs that stability in order to do well.
Unfortunately this team has hardly ever afforded him the opportunity
to have that.

He has as many fouls+turnovers as points (7) in 16 minutes? Didn't
see the game but that line doesn't look that good to me. It doesn't
seem like he was much better than Randolph who had 10 pts and 5 reb in
25 min.

Well, how about 'result'. I still don't like a measly 91 points. I'm
having a strong suspicion that the Sixers will be dead last in the
league in ppg.
