Wow. I thought this was going to be a killer series, and what a first
game! Have to feel bad for the Suns, who lead most of the way, only
had to go to double OT because Duncan made his first 3-pointer of the
year, and almost got into triple OT with a great 3-pointer by Nash.
But the Spurs made just a few more plays down the stretch. I don't
have a huge rooting favorite, so I'm going to sit down with some
popcorn and look forward to seeing some more exciting games. -- Joe

This was a fantastic game, fer sure.
Now, the talking heads today say it was a downer for the Suns. Ya know, they
gave it all they had and couldn't beat the Spurs.
But I wonder....
How do the Spurs feel after a game like that?
It took all they had to eek out a double over-time game at home.
It seems to me like they might be a bit worried too.

It does look like very exciting matchup though.

If I were a Spur fan I'd be nevous.

Shaq had a poor game other than taking up space. He had early foul
trouble and missed some easy buckets that could have built momentum.
His solo defense on Duncan was spotty.

Suns had two chances to win it and elected not to foul which allowed for
key three point baskets, still don't get that!

Amari Stodemire fouled out and the Suns still took it to the limit in
double OT without him.

Spurs had a luck shot by Duncan to save life!

Then Ginobli got a gift down the lane to end it.
Don't know what the defender was thinking, this guy goes left more times
than not!

What a game!! I agree with you there is no way the Spurs can keep up
that pace for the entire series. The Suns live for that kind of play.
Spurs had a couple of lucky plays and were fortunate that Shaq got
into early foul trouble so Tim Duncan could go off huge on offense.

I have a feeling the Suns are going to win the next 3 games in this
series. I read a really good article the other day on the keys to the
series for both teams on the hoop doctors website.

I hope the Suns take it up a notch and get rid of the boring spurs!

It was a great win for the Spurs, but they can't win a 7 game series
with all of the games being that high scoring or that close. Spurs
need to step up the defense and get those games back into the 70's or
low 80's. Once it gets into the 90's, the Suns thrive. Spurs got
lucky in the first game. It may not happen again.

Oddly enough he has a link to that site and a cite for it's articles for
almost every subject... ;-)
