I don't believe that for a minute. Sounds like a PR Spin.

It was reported that the family wanted it that way. They told MSG to let him
play.

Dude,

Put yourself in that position. Your dad suffers what is a potentially
deadly heart attack. At that point, you don't know that he's DOA or
what. Wouldn't you want to know so you can accompany him to the
hospital, say goodbye or whatever? I'm sure if he knows at that
point, he's not thinking about filling up the hoop or dishing to one
of the two fat bastards in the post. They can spin it however they
want, but the bottom line is, they didn't take care of their
employee. And don't believe everything that is quoted in the paper.

Frank, normally I'm in agreement with you buddy, but I'll have to
diverge from you on this one. It comes down to putting more stock in
a direct quote from Marbury's family -- one that they have not refuted
-- versus opting for this conspiracy theory. Until I have compelling
reason to believe otherwise, I'll take Marbury's family's word for it,
and I don't think it's so wrong for the Knicks organization to have
respected their wishes. And it's hard to imagine they were trying to
exploit Marbury for the remainder of one lousy game, considering that
the Knicks (against NJ and MIL anyway) had seen a blip of success with
him off the court anyway. I seriously doubt they'd care one way or
the other what Marbury did at the time.

I hear ya. I would like to hear from Marbury though, and after he's
had a chance to stew on it for a while.....

His relatives were quoted in the Daily News.
I think it is very possible it went down like that. What could Steph have
done had he left the game.
I think he was DOA.

Still. Wouldn't you want to know ASAP, regardless what the rest of the
family wanted? I've had this discussion with my siblings and wife regarding
my mother ( who's getting up there in years ). Tell me whatever you know and
let me make the decision about the when and what I'll do about it. Marbury
has every reason to pissed off, if that's how he feels.

Marbury was reported to be yelling at someone on his way out the door from
the lockeroom.
