i agree with the spirit of the rules, but the league totally flubbed the
implementation.
the dress code is too over the top. yes, when players are in the public
eye, the SHOULD dress like the millionaires they are. but on the team
plane? the team bus? traveling between cities? thats just way too much.
and the new tech rule isnt even being called the way the officials said
it would before the season. i personally am SICK of seeing players
whine and cry after every call.
but what theyre doing....simply ridiculous. the players are supposed to
get a verbal warning before the FIRST tech is called. so far this has
not happened once. key players have been tossed from games because of
this rule, while not even being close to an official (see anthony,
carmello). in the 1st 3 nights, like 6 key players were ejected because
of this rule. if stern wants a better product, will he really achieve
it with his stars in the locker room?
