Congratulations to Tayshaun for being named to the US Olympic
Basketball team that will compete this summer in Beijing China. So
far, that team is shaping up to be nearly as good as the original
"Dream Team" was. Adding some defensive prowess like Tayshaun will
certainly help.

I just hope Tayshaun has enough energy left after a long, grueling
season.

Regards,

Considering the lengthy season and new addition to his family why would
Prince involve himself in such a worthless game?

Could he be insecure and seeking to better market himself?

I think there has to be at least some guilt on the team for not having
anybody to help LB in the 2004 games. Prince, who would have been
snubbed in those days, might want to be in Beijing as a coming-of-age
statement.

LeBron had no help?? Let's see, on that team was Carmelo Anthony,
Carlos Boozer, Tim Duncan, Allen Iverson, Richard Jefferson, Stephon
Marbury, Shawn Marion, Lamar Odom, Emeka Okafor, Amare' Stoudemire,
and Dwyane Wade. Seems like he had plenty of help. That the team
only won a bronze wouldn't have to do with the fact that they were
outplayed especially on the boards (as I recall) or that Larry Brown's
game plan and substitution patterns didn't take advantage of the US
strengths, would it?

I love that people question motives of players willing to give up their
summer and attach all kinds of reasons except the apparent one.
I would think it is more to they want to compete and win for their country
in the Olympics Games. A rare honor.
Now that it is competive even more so.
