He's going to need the help in a crowded field. It's not going to

If Zach didn't get it last year due to the teams record, than Martin
doesn't this year (that and being out for a chunk this season).
Ginobli made it last year iirc. McGrady has been injured a fair
amount, and unless he's voted in as a starter (god bless the internets
working in China), I don't see how he can be justified anymore.
I know I'm a bit of a homer, but realistically, Kobe and Nash are the
only ones who out-right deserve spots. Iverson probably will because
blah blah..
Paul and Williams are his competition, imho. And if the team maintains
a lead over Utah in the division, the coaches will reward the team and
vote in Roy.
And if they don't? Well, let's just say it wouldn't surprise me in the
slightest. The NBA is pretty much a sham now anyway. >> Stay informed about: Time to start Pimping Roy for all-star |

How can you not include Baron Davis, Chris Paul, Roy and Iverson as
deserving with Kobe and Nash. All of those guys are deserving. I
agree with you on Martin and McGrady. Ginobli is also deserving as he
carried his team when Duncan was out and when Parker was out. Parker
is also deserving. THat's the thing a lot of guys deserve it and are
playing all star caliber ball....

Parker is leading the elite team in scoring at 20 ppg, on 50% shooting and
has 7+ asts...he was the finals MVP last year. Paul is in a tougher
division than Roy so I doubt that if Portland is leading the NW it will be a
reason to lean towards Roy over Paul. Paul is averaging a double double at
21 and 10 asts. I would not leave him off the absolutely deserve it list..
Davis has a great case too unless the GSW take a real dive in the standings
as does stephen Jackson (except the coaches will never vote for him) ..
Iverson is scoring 26 on his best FGP ( 46%) in many years and has 7 asts so
I think he deserves it a lot more now than some of his Philly years.

Devon's team is going backwards... I think Roy might beat him out if there
are enough spots. Seems like there are often injuries but it is a deep
conference.
Have to see how this month goes.

He will get more hype in the junior game for being left off....

Not Martin. Just scoring a lot on a bad team this year I doubt will get him
to the all-star game.
I expect Parker, Ivy, Nash, Paul as the reserves. Paul is the only guard
averaging over 20-10 and his team is winning, how can coach's not vote for
him and yet which of the other 3 do you leave out?
and of course Kobe and TMac are getting voted in.
TMac still deserves it but with luck will be injured again...in which case I
think Paul makes it over Davis.
You left out Jackson as deserving it... He is doing as much for your team as
Ginobli does for SA...

I think Iverson isn't as deserving due to the # of times he's been
voted on. They probably won't vote Roy on, but they might want to
reward the team much like they did Utah last year with 3 players >> Stay informed about: Time to start Pimping Roy for all-star |

I don't think you can count it against Iverson (who I hate but

Oh yeah,, I forgot Boozer too. And you have to look at your own LMA
with where they are in the standings just as much as Jackson....

Too bad Jefferson is on a team with 4 wins...
LMA is on the ballot as a center and averages under 20 pts and 7 rbs.....
not all-star
stats for either position.
Centers will be Yao and Amare. With chandler likely left off and then Kaman
even on a bad team deserving a look.

Flock that anyway. I'd much rather see him be the finals MVP in

I'm not sure if they can justify it IF the Blazers lead the division,
