Curt Gowdy, if you are old enough.

There is such a backlog of Battier flops that I would think that the
spurious charge against the opponent is by far the #1

Any team with Lorenzo Mata on it (currently UCLA)

You can't have both? With the Skipper, Gilligan, the Professor, and
MR. Howell as the only males around I would think that they would be
getting pretty desperate.

I think there's *laws* against that, so rules would be kinda
redundant. Sorta like having a specific rule against murder,
which is clearly covered by unsportsmanlike conduct. See
Laettner, Christian.

Mary Ann looks like she'd be dynamite in bed. Ginger
is a bit too heroin waif for me, but I bet those sultry
lips can do a few tricks.

Belew lived and recorded here in Champaign-Urbana for many years. Quite
the talent, though I'm not sure too many would first associate him with
drums.

I've tried to make a ritual of playing "One of Those Days" from his "Mr.
Music Head" CD every year on the 4th of July. I read somewhere he said
the song's inspiration came from a gathering on the 4th at a local
Urbana park. It's a really catchy tune.

Everyday.

The nice thing about gin is that first rate gin isn't like first rate
Scotch in terms of cost, although there is a disturbing trend recently
trying to market "boutique" gin. BTW, Gordon's is not gin. That
stuff is completely vile.

I usually buy Bombay, Sapphire, or Boodles depending on what is on
sale. Plymouth is better for martinis, but there is a premium on the
purchase price and for me it isn't worth the extra $'s unless it is a
special occasion, like being Thursday for example. Martinis are my
gin drink of choice because it has the smallest amount of other
ingredients. Of course I keep my gin in the freezer because shaking
the martini over ice introduces WAY too much water into the beverage.
I know that Tedward is partial to the gin and tonic, but to me I have
always thought that there was always way too much tonic and not enough
gin in that drink.

Making my way though the Great Sports Desert. How may days to
Midnight Madness?

Good catch. I meant Terry Bozzio. Shiek Yerbuti was playing at the time.
They're both on there, they both start with B. Half credit for hepness.

I started drinking clear liquor just recently. Vodka is worthless, but the
first gin martini of the day I feel like Popeye when he eats his spinach: a
physical rush of energy runs up my arms and pop in my fingertips. Hint: a
drop of Chambord instead of vermouth makes for a delighful pink hue, like
urine the day after a good kidney punch.

Regarding the price of scotch. I read the Spenser novels for palette
cleansing purposes as they come out. Parker lost it in 1992 or whenever, but
I feel obligated. Spenser drinks Johnnie Blue now, in a tall glass, with
soda. It's sacrilege, and at probably $ 40 a shot Boston prices, insane. I
prefer the black to nearly any other anyway; you can almost chew the peat,
which makes it a meal.

Couldn't tell you. I don't follow college basketball: Red Storm fan, the
most irrelevant program in all of sports.

True, and if you wander into some random McMansion in a
drunken haze, there's a reasonable chance you'll find some.

Now *that* is gentleman logic.

Good point. The standard recipe is way too sweet and is
woefully short on gin.

Beats me. Watch out for the mud flats.
