Same as the last game, only closer and more exciting. The Sixers play well,
but fall because *again* they cannot defend on the perimeter, giving Toronto
lots of three-points baskets.

At the outset of the season, I observed that the team's best offensive two
guard was Lou Williams, and wondered with some anxiety if the time would
come when he starts there. Based on the play to date of Willie Green and
Rodney Carney, I'm guessing that it will happen, and probably sooner than we
think. I've still got forebodings about the notion, thinking about the
defensive match-ups, which might prove disastrous. Lou Williams is not
ready to cover most of the two guards in the NBA; at his size, he may never
be up to the task. The best gamble might be to move old old Andre Miller
out on the opposing two guard, and let Williams play the opposing point.
Let us not forget the Sixers did this with a fair amount of success for
years when Iverson played two guard on offesne and the opponent's PG on
defense, while Eric Snow played PG and the opposition shooting guard. It
can be done! Of course it helped then that Snow was young and fast, and a
young Aaron McKie was around to help defend the perimeter. Plus AI was a
tremendous ball hawk. Could Williams and Miller pull off this gambit now?
I have my doubts, but who knows. It might work! More confidently I will
predict that, fairly soon, we are going to find out.

The only apprehension would be in regard to how Williams would handle
starting-quality defenders who would start having to pay attention to
him. So far, his efficiency has been remarkable--shooting 53% and an
8/1 ast/to off the bench. If he can consistently hit from the
perimeter it could be an enormous improvement for the starting unit.

Ah Hell, I forgot to switch accounts on my friend's computer again.

Sixers forgive France - The Sixers have one-upped the State Department, forgiving the charter member of the Axis of Weasels, by giving employment (however short-lived) now to the famous Paccelis Morlende, Point Guard from, er, Dijon, and I'm not talking about the mustard. ----...

Alonzo Mourning - Even with his kidney condition, I'd take a chance and sign him. Even if he has to be restricted to 24 - 30 minutes a night, fine, grab him. We can fill the rest of the center minutes with Dalembert and Coleman (or if the Sixers are very lucky,..

Sixers set their sights low - According to the Inky this morning, the Sixers are looking to sign a free agent center! Alonzo Mourning? Noooooo. They are looking at Andrew DeClerq and Marc Jackson. Bleeaaaaaaahhhh. Go for 'Zo! ----- Kurt Straub

Notice to Billy King, the 76ers are not going to - win an NBA championship under your tenure. Stop selling the NBA East. The only hope is Lebron becomes the next Jordan

wow, Sixers waste 50 Mil on Kenny Thomas - 7 year deal for 50 million. He's decent, but not worth near that amount of money. Why not offer Arenas that kind of money first? Oh yeah, cause the Sixers have no idea what they are doing.
