Lofton. UK. Typical. Absolutely.

LOL, I cited him in response to the previous post as a current classic
example before I read your post.
Although it's usually been Vandie that shoves Kentucky players right up
UK's nose, it seems to me . . . .

The big issue, IMHO, is guys from right down the street who always wanted
to come to your school then *barely* don't get the offer, so they go to
whoever is the best nearby "rival" (not always *the* rival, but you know
what I mean). Then they light your ass up every time you play them. It's
happened quite a bit to UNC, anyway...

Oh, believe me, we at UK know all about this. Chris Lofton played
highschool basketball about 60 miles way from Rupp Arena. Now, we get to
watch him be an All-American for Tennessee....

Eh. Uh. Probably about '66 or '67, and absolutely no later than '72,
although the nerves really didn't go 'til '84 . . . .

In the desert, it's every man for himself, but I'll
keep an eye out for this one.

Watch out for the mud flats. We lost three oxen and a wagon
last year.
