Now it looks like UCONN is seriously stacked with blazing talent for the next
two years. I believe that it appears that UTenn is comparably loaded.
What other teams are up there with those two?
Being loaded with talent at this point is not an automatic final four berth
but it will make it exciting to the extent that optimism does so.

ESPN gets high ratings only with UCONN vs. TN.

Won't Brittany (or any transfer) need to sit out this year? So, there's
still a question mark in the middle until Moore's knee recovery is
known? So, the stacked deck is a year away? Only the JUCO will get to
play right away? Then again Wolff may be back healthy, but to replace
DT in the minds and play of the team may take awhile.

Yep:) of course IF she comes here:(

Charde Houston looks like a blue chip.
Then again Wolff may be back healthy, but to replace

Also, our backcourt picks up a lot of speed with Maria leaving.
She was our surprise over achiever and we should be able to figure out ways to
use the speed coming in.
I am not able to visualize the imminent threats from other teams. Tex. could
be one but it seems like an easier year. (Famous ironic last words:)

I think this makes for the perfect match-up considering DT and
Chamiqua are gone. Who will be the next to step it up. I am totally
stoked about Tennessee signing Candace Parker. We'll just have to see
if she can Rise to the Summit. From a coaches perspective, I love to
watch the strategies that Summit/Auriemma use when playing one
another. Go Lady Vols!!! >> Stay informed about: UCONN stacked |

I haven't seen a lot of Tennessee's recruits but I love all of the talent in
Ms Hornbuckle.

Tennessee is so loaded with players its unbelievable. If Moore is
healthy this year, UCONN will be comparable to Tennessee. This year's
Tennessee team could be even better than the 1998 team because they
return Moore, Ely, Zolman, Spencer and Jackson. They will have
Strother, Turner, Battle, Moore, Crockett, and a few good freshman
coming in if I'm not mistaken. If Hunter was mixed into this group,
they would easily compare with Tennessee. Will there be any other
good teams out there besides UT and UCONN? >> Stay informed about: UCONN stacked |

Even with the 5 returnees listed for TN I can't see them compared to the
1998 team because I don't see a Holdsclaw type among them. Similar for
UConn without a Taurasi...until a team has that type of consistent
producer, able to carry a team when necessary and lead even when others
are contributing I don't see domination by anyone.
LSU and Texas I think will be right up there with UT and UConn. Even
without Whalen, I think Minnesota will also be good. Maryland and Ohio
State, based on last year's performance, seem ready to break out too.

Parker could become a Holdsclaw type player and so could Hornsbuckle.
That may be a stretch to compare them to the 1998 team but you never
know. They could become a team like the 1999 Men's Duke Blue Devil's,
being called one of the greatest of all time then choking when the
pressure is on. You never know what can happen but I will be rooting
for Tennessee all year long and tape every one of their games that I
can.

Didn't that team get busted by the Duke women?
That's why they play the games, eh?
