Been by MCI lately? All those Jewish developers building big office
buildings around the old Adas Israel building, with a round stained glass
window of a Star of David. The catalyst is Abe Pollin bringing Michael
Jordan to town. Now Abe is going in a different direction. Hockey is
kaput, but he sold that to the Greek. He's keeping it enclave. Got rid of
a couple attitude problems in Laettner, Stackhouse, and Jordan. The new
Jordan, Eddie, looks Jewish. Grunfeld looks like the guys that own the
thrift store in Adelphi.

Mort, talked to Red lately? Red Auerbach? He eats an early lunch at the
China Doll just north of MCI on Tuesdays. Hotsy Alperstein still sells
basketball goals up 8th Street.
