Wow,
That is one strange aquirement. What do the fans think of this?
Sure going to be a different team this year, like the Lakers.
The league is as stable as Courtney Love.

I don't buy the "we needed a backup" talk the blazers are spinning. This has
to be the pre-curser to a trade.

I believe it. They most certainly do need a backup guard. It may indicate
they expect a backup center in the next trade if/when they move SAR.

I think they are trading for a (semi) big name player personally. This way
they can trade one of the guards (of which both are expiring contracts and
servicable players) along with another player (hm..NVE can't be traded for a
while..that leaves Damon...) for a star + table scraps..
oh wait, who am I kidding..this is Portland we're talking about.

What this backup talk? Van Exel is way better than any other guard
the Blazers already had.
Nash had talked about trying to get Sabonis to come back one more
time. What's the status of that? With Rasheed gone and Shaq out of
the conference it seems like he just might. >> Stay informed about: Van Exel ? |

The salaries work but Philly has said he is not available. I doubt Nash
would go for Me-verson's 5 years left on his contract although Rodertson's
is ending. Anyone think that Ivy would be happy sharing the ball with
Zach...

If he is healthy I agree. I just do not see him pushing it since he did not
in Dallas.
Cheeks ....paraphase...we have three guards and they will share minutes
equally, does not matter who starts...

With DD gone that would be nice. He came back with 'Sheed here, I doubt that
makes a difference.
Chances slim to none would be my guess. Last I heard they could not get a
hold of his agent.
