How can the Virginia Tech task force say they have accomplished
anything? They did NOTHING to address the myriad of problems that
caused the tragedy!

First of all, they didn't address the negligence of the Virginia Tech
police force to react, and their lack of a forthright response.
Imagine that - getting a report of a killing and not doing ANYTHING
for 2 hours. And then, thinking that sending out emails to the
students and faculty would suffice. There are rumors that some of the
force went out for coffee and doughnuts between the 2 shootings.
Those law dogs should have been out with bullhorns, even riding on the
sidewalks to alert the students and faculty of the initial shooting.
But no.....they just hunkered in their bunker at Base 10. So getting
the cops off their ass is something that must be addressed.
And, despite what probably was the best effort of the task force,
given their apparent limited talents, the task force failed to address
the real problem - why 04/16/07 really occurred. The snobby, hoity-
toity nature of the students in how they addressed Cho has been
recognized time and again as to why the fragile young man snapped!
Until that is addressed, the need for a uniform code of conduct for
students, especially as they address members of minority groups, the
major problem has not been addressed.
That "task force" at Virginia Tech was nothing of the sort. It is
just another attempt by evil Big Bruther govmint, from the governor of
Virginia, Gov. Timothy M. Kaine, to the President of Virginia Tech,
Charles Steger, to Police Chief Wendell Flinchum, and to those who
reported to him, to TRY to assuage the valid concerns of those who
suffered because of the lack of those law puppies to do what they were
supposed to do. Sure, they have families at home too, but that
doesn't justify their lack of action.
The whole lot of them, Gov Timothy Kaine, Va. Tech President Charles
Steger, Police Chief Wendell Flinchem, and all of his subordinates at
the Va. Tech Police Department should be fired! En masse!
All the task force has done is to try to mitigate the failings of the
do nothing charlatans at Virginia Tech.
