Last Timberwolf 10 Point Win
The last Timberwolf 10 point win occured on Feb 29, 1778 as the Wolfs
defeated the Richmond Redcoats 22-4. After a scoreless first quarter, the
Wolfs built a 8-0 lead heading into halftime. An actual live firing squad of
Nathan "Leaky" Hale provided some exciting halftime festivities. The
Redcoats closed the gap to 8-4 in the third quarter as the Wolfs played at
the wrong end of the court for the first six minutes. The Wolfs pulled away
in the fourth quarter, dispite having point guard Slick Durbin foul out half
way through the quarter. The Wolfs won the game hitting 6 of their last 36
free throws. High scorer was Slick Durbin with 4 points for both the Wolfs
and Redcoats. The Redcoats, by the way, were a no-show for the game. >> Stay informed about: Wolfs Last 10 Point Win |

If we finish with the worst record (now with Shaqless Miami folding, not
as good a chance, or maybe not), I see us having a very good chance at
getting the number one pick. Please don't tell me you are a conspiracy

Even if the Wolves end up with the worst record, they only have
something like a 25% chance of getting the first pick.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Draft_Lottery
It could happen. But there is roughly a 75% likelihood that it won't.
Like I said, the odds are against them and I wouldn't hold my breath
for that to happen.
>Please don't tell me you are a conspiracy atheist.
Did you mean conspiracy "theorist", or were you intentionally
trying to spout more of your kooky religious junk? Sometimes
it's hard to tell if you are being intentionally misleading, or if you
are just totally confused.

25% with David Stern opening the envelopes makes for pretty long odds.
In any case, it's hard to tell the difference between #1 and #2 some
years, and McHale picks better when a lot of options are taken off the
table for him and there's only one obvious choice. This isn't a case
like 1992 or 1997 where getting the #3 pick was cause for a GM to
start drinking heavily.

I thought that one was kind of funny... and I bet even if Carl Pohlad
rose from the dead after three days, he still couldn't get the Wolves
a #1 pick. >> Stay informed about: Wolfs Last 10 Point Win |

With the luck of the Wolves, they will finish 2nd to last and end up
with the 5th pick. After looking at the link you sent, I would say the
odds for the Wolves getting the number 1 pick are not great. >> Stay informed about: Wolfs Last 10 Point Win |

I posted that link so you could understand how the lottery works.
You didn't seem to have a good grasp of it. Finishing dead last
never means an automatic 1st round pick.
Even if they finish dead last, the odds are still against them getting
a #1 draft pick. They would have a better chance than other teams,
but still roughly a 75% chance they wouldn't get it. However, they'd
have a decent shot of getting at least a top four pick.

Not whining, just stating the facts.
Finishing dead last doesn't mean an automatic 1st round pick. Far
from, actually.
