Or so KFAN is reporting. Heard half of an interview with James and ...
that dude might not be shuffling a full deck. But if he can fill it up,
that's good by me.
Probably means bye-bye Marcus Banks, though.

Oh, you'll love him. Trust me. Best interview in the NBA. Worst entry passer
in the NBA. A match made in heaven.
Just a taste of Mike: on his way out, he called Toronto "Antarctica,"
apparently thinking that Minneapolis is located somewhere at the crossroads
of Paris and Nassau. Good luck with that, Mike.

I'm pleased with what the Wolves have done so far. Adding a 20 point 6
assist guard along with the front runner for rookie of the year should
at least have the Wolves back in playoff contention. Now "all" they
need to do is trade one of the three bad contracts for a decent front
court rebounder.

That's a tall order, if you presume the other GM's in the league aren't
idiots.
The Antarctica comment was the transition for his kids from Houston
(The Tropics)
to a winter climate, not a diss of Toronto. His kids transition to
Minnesota will be easier.
If you want a school where the kids won't be the only black kids, and
still get a first rate
education, try Ascension School, in north Minneapolis Mike. >> Stay informed about: Wolves sign Mike James |

Golly gee. Way to go McHale - dcon't you realize that
Minnesota is not Mecca for guys who grew up in warmer,
more urban, climes?
I guess the good news is that the Wolves don't use entry passes,
since there's nobody underneath the basket anyways.
Despite Ikrushlots' enthusiasm, color me unexcited about this
move. I don't see any movement towards fixing the major
issues facing the team. In fact, unless they've given up on
both Banks and Hudson, the PG situation is even more
muddled.
Sorry Wolves. I wear wool just about anywhere but over my
eyes. A $200 season ticket just isn't worth it, especially
considering the heartache of watching the team destroy the
brilliance of Kevin Garnett. >> Stay informed about: Wolves sign Mike James |

I wouldn't say I'm "excited" just yet. I like the moves they've made,
but won't be jumping up and down until they can get front court help.
PG more muddled? not fixing major issues? PG wasn't a major issue?
It was probably the biggest issue, and now they've got a 20/6 guy at
that position. He'll be starting and probably get at least 32-40
minutes per game. Foye will likely backup both 1-2. Hudson will get
scraps. Both Casey and McHale have said Jaric is not going to play
point. Banks is probably gone. The NBA ruled earlier in the week that
the Wolves could not use the Bird rights rule on Banks, which the
Wolves were counting on. So anything above about 2.5 million, they'd
have to dip into the 5 million exception. If they do sign him, great.
More depth at the position. >> Stay informed about: Wolves sign Mike James |

After signing James, it's going to be tough to sign Banks now that they
can't use the Bird rights rule. >> Stay informed about: Wolves sign Mike James |

griffen. talk about desparation.

A couple of weeks ago there were rumors that Utah was interested in
Jaric.

I like the comments I've seen in the paper. He talked about how
appreciative he was the KG called him, called himself a "nobody",
talked about being a competitor (which everybody seems to say about
him) and wanting to win a championship.

It's a sad state of affairs when the only way an inner city kid in
Minnesota can get a good education is to go to a private, religious
school. >> Stay informed about: Wolves sign Mike James |

Bummer. Well...James/Jaric/Foye at PG doesn't look to bad
either, IMO. Hudson has to go, IMO.
At least Jaric can switch between PG/SG, so he's a little
versatile.

Talk about poor grammar and spelling.
Shouldn't you be in summer school, Dave? ;-)
As far as James, I think he'll be a decent addition to the Wolves.
His attitude aside, he does have skill...and the Wolves need that
right now at the point. He couldn't be any worse than Jaric or
Hudson.
