I think you're right. James had a career season last year, and can't be
reasonably expected to repeat his efficiency, but even a typical Mike James
season is still pretty good. Just beware of his flaws: the man is a chucker,
who can't remember the last shot he met that he didn't like; he's a flake,
the kind of guy who'll fill local reporters' notebooks with wacky ramblings
and occasional causes for alarm; he apparently thinks more of his finishing
prowess than is justified. Here in Toronto, we got used to the sight of
James refusing to give the rock to Chris Bosh in the post in the 4th
quarter, and instead driving kamikaze-style to the hoop. You'll get used to
it as well.

To whoever will take them. For whatever they will give. ;-)

That's been the case for 40 years in cities like Chicago, New York,
it's been that way for 20 years here. Ascension, DeLasalle.
Minneapolis is blessed, and the inner city kids are fortunate to have
these two schools. The are educational Arks, literally. Our family
discovered them, after one of the kids teacher conference at North
High, when the teacher, after being asked why they weren't demanding
more from our child, said, "It's not like this is a good school or
anything." Other than profanity, the only reaction you can have was
the one we did, "Yikes, where can we send our kid and get away from
this." Sorry, this isn't about basketball.
