Wade reaches out and hits Nowitzski (sp?) in the chest as he goes by..
and a foul is called on Dallas' big man?
It's been obvious before (Lakers/Kings in 2002) that the NBA is
occasionally as legitimate as your average boxing match.. but damn..
that's either the worst call in ages or just more evidence.

The NBA refereeing is a joke. The foul was on Wade...he reached out and
grabbed Dirk to make sure the ref saw it. Earlier in the game Wade
charged against Harris, and Wade got the call. The announcers said it
was "a tough call against Harris." And there was the 'no call' when ?
Alonzo Mourning crushed either Terry or Howard on a shot under the
basket.
These weren't tap or touch fouls...each one was a typical "only in the
NBA" referee call.
It reminds me of a game where Larry Bird had a break away to the basket
except for one defender at about half court standing between him and a
layup. Bird ran over the guy...so naturally no call was made. And then
to make sure no one missed it, the same type of play occurred in the
same game. Once again, no call against the Celtics.

And Nowitski was moving away from him when he put the arm
in his chest. I do NOT understand that call.
But Dallas missed a bunch of shots tonight. There's no excuse. >> Stay informed about: Wow.. are you kidding me? |

That's the one that made me sick, even more than the untouched foul
Wade got earlier.
I don't complain too much about fouls, but that sours me toward the
NBA. Either I don't understand the game or the officiating is too
poor/corrupt to let me enjoy it. Doesn't really matter which because
there's no sense caring about entertainment that doesn't entertain. >> Stay informed about: Wow.. are you kidding me? |

There were a nice couple of make-up calls at the end going Dallas' way; no
way those get called unless Miami
has it in the bag. That call was a joke. As he was coming downcourt I said
"Here come Wade, just run into someone
and get the call". Two seconds later, that's exactly what happened. Joke.
Oh, and Miami trolls, get lost. >> Stay informed about: Wow.. are you kidding me? |

well, still the contact was initiated on the part of wades forearm and
should have been no call at least...that said, congrats to heat and the
fans...at the end, there was now way to make up for so much playoff
finals experience on the side of miami :) >> Stay informed about: Wow.. are you kidding me? |

It's funny... you got that feeling every time Wade touched the ball at
one point... some of the more memorable fouls, including the Game 5
debacle --
The foul where Josh Howard jumped in the air, turned his back away from
Wade, and cuffed his hands into his body -- and got a foul called on
him.
How about Marques Daniel's "foul" last night, where it appeared to me
he reached his hand up and pulled it away.
Here is what no one is talking about re: Wade's fouls. They came at
the most conveinent times. Dallas would get into a transition and
offensive rhythm, get momentum going -- and then lo and behold, a
ridiculous foul call on Wade.
Meanwhile, knock the Mavericks all you want for not being aggressive,
but I remember Devin Harris being 1 for 7 at one point last game, with
6 missed layups -- and he was getting killed every time he went to the
basket. The most frustrating thing is that the calls disrupted the
tempo of the game, and took Dallas out of their rhythm. Granted,
dallas should had played through it. But this series did nothing but
feed the fire that is the NBA conspiracy theorists.

That was also a bad call. It looked like a linebacker hitting
a little running back and knocking him to his can. Right after
that, I think, Riles pulled Mourning out of the game. But no
foul was called. >> Stay informed about: Wow.. are you kidding me? |
