The 'Allen does not care' part is obvious since Charter does not have the
deal. They do not have NBAtv or the NBA package available either....

Not having any form of broadcast TV for the last couple of years, I admit
that I haven't kept up too close with this, but it sure seems to me that
it's in the best long-term interest to get the games to as many viewers
(read, potential ticket & paraphernalia buyers) as possible.

That said, when TV broadcast rights are in play, it's always ugly &
expensive.
