Post subject: advice on shoes
Archived from groups: rec>sport>basketball>europe (more info?)

I'd need an advice regarding a purchase of basketball shoes. I'm disabled,
and don't play basketball (am not in a wheelchair), but basketball shoes
suit my feet best. But it's hard to find shoes that would have all the
characteristics that I'd need, and in my size. So could anyone recomend me
good quality shoes, that would have the following:
- firm, extra strong ankle support;
- above ankle height;
- open widely;
- are lightweight;
- are available in sizes 40-41.
When I ask around in the stores I only get reccomendations to buy the
latest, most fashionable, and most expensive shoes - regardless of the fact
that they're nothing what I look for. So, if anyone could name a few models
of some reputable manufacturers so that I could order them via store, I'd be
most thankful.

Marijan

P. S. I'd buy online, but in my case, buying without seeing (feeling) is out
of the question.
