There are two things to be said about D'Antoni.
One, he led the Suns to some pretty good runs, deep into the
playoffs. Without his offense, Nash would never have won a single MVP
award.
Two, he is an idiot, constantly using just a 7-man rotation despite
having the league's second oldest roster and a fair deep team to boot. >> Stay informed about: D'antoni quits |

Jackson's over-rated.
There's certainly going to be a heck of a lot of coaching changes
coming up. What amazes me is that that cockroach Larry Brown has once
again taken control of a team. Seriously...how the hell does he keep
doing this? >> Stay informed about: D'antoni quits |

267 regular season games and 26 playoff games in 6 NBA seasons.
But please, give us your (realistic) choice for the next coach of
the Raptors so we can compare resumes.
Last I heard Phil Jackson was not available.

As well he should be. The woes of this team are NOT Mitchell's failt.

The thing about D'antoni ia this: he had a team that's vastly superior
to anything Sam Mitchell had to work with, yet he did nothing with it.
Couldn't get them over the hump. Admittedly, he had more than his share
of bad luck with those suspensions and the Shaq thing. >> Stay informed about: D'antoni quits |

So, worse trade: Shaq, or Kidd? And how good is Miami going to be next
year with a lottery pick, Wade, Marion and Haslem?

Depends on whether the lottery pick is a stud or a stiff. A bad lottery
pick will get you a quick exit from the playoffs, as we've just seen. >> Stay informed about: D'antoni quits |

I was responding to your statement "What has he won in the NBA?"
What has Sam Mitchell won?
I agree the chances of Mitchell being coach next year are pretty high,
but then I was surprised when Babcock got canned. MLSE will obviously
act when an opportunity is available when it suites them.
