He's been ready to go as of two weeks ago.

And Oden as of this week cleared for full contact.

The real question is how long until Oden is significantly injured again? My

Both Bynum and Oden have congenital problems on their knees. Bynum is
knock-kneed while one of Oden's legs is half an inch longer than the
other one. Both conditions cause stress on their knees. >> Stay informed about: bynum |

Are either of them that fragile down in the knees? I don't know about
Oden, but Bynum's knee injury resulted from a freak accident of Lamar
Odom landing on Bynum's knee during some loose ball play. Bynum
probably wouldn't have injured the knee just running on it had Lamar
not landed on him. >> Stay informed about: bynum |

Huh...
Here I thought the problem with Oden was that one of his legs was shorter
than the other. You say longer?
Well...

Six of these - a half dozen of those. >> Stay informed about: bynum |

No that is a major problem! Do you put a lift in one shoe or pare one down?

Personally, I'd go with the lift - I've managed to avoid surgery up
to this point, why change. >> Stay informed about: bynum |

You're all missing the obvious, just determine which leg is shorter & run
the plays that way. Added bonus of watching Greg run down court in a
spiraling motion making it more difficult for the defenders to stay on him.

He's not especially any more at risk than any other guy, but it sometimes
takes one year to get back to pre-microfracture effectiveness.
Given their youth, I'd think that Bynum and Oden are no more likely to get
hurt than Stoudamire or Chandler, and much less so than Yao, to throw out
some other West bigs.

Bynum landed on Lamar and torqued his knee oddly, fwiw, Lamar did not make
contact with him.

Given how long all he could do was cardio, I think the opposite would be
the more likely problem - loss of weight, in particular muscle in the legs
and trunk. Nothing that isn't fixable in a summer, however.
