About the best way I can describe the mood of the collective Nugget fan
right now. We've been down this road before, but can this team, with AI,
finally be the first one to actually compete in a playoff series since the
one that shocked the NBA in 1994? I think they can. But just can't get too
excited after one game because of what happened a few years ago against
almost these same Spurs.

Hopefully we'll see plenty of Tim Duncan's whiney face tonight. That will
be a good sign. If players were T-d up for "extreme whiny face" Duncan
would never last most than 5 minutes in any game.

The Nuggets finished better than they have in the past.

But why is it that Melo has one assist in two playoff games?

Yep, nice little comeback in the 4th. Just fell a little short.

Two things: 1) He still isn't the passer he needs to be if he want to be a
complete player, because he is going to get double teamed and needs to be
able to find the open man. And 2) You have to give San Antonio credit,
because their double teams are tough and it is more difficult to make a
great pass out of them.

AI has definitely emerged as the on-court leader of this team, more so than
Melo. Which is probably good, given his experience level. Still cautiously
optimistic coming back home 1-1. Would be nice if the Nugs were better at
home this year, but if they can't get up and focus at this point ..... To
be honest, I'm not even convinced that San Antonio is the better team here.
Deeper? Yes. But Denver's starting 5 can run with anyone in the league
right now.
