He looks poised to be a dominant post player.

From everything I read & hear about him, he has the drive & personality to
keep getting better for a long time to come. The Oregonian had a nice piece
on him today that said he has always taken any slights as added incentive to
improve & Mac said he's amazed at the extra time LA puts in after everyone
else goes home. I'm prone to look for silver linings when I can, but I
really think having to play without Oden this season could be the best thing
for Aldridge & the team in the long run. It would be great for them to
start playing together to develop their own chemistry, but this season
Aldridge will have to be a bigger factor in the paint than he would have
with Oden in there & that can only help in LA's development.

Go Blazers !

he may eventually be a dominant player. However. he hasn't even played
close to a full season yet, so it would be unrealistic to expect
'consistency' as you question poses.

I think he'll have some great games this season, but at times he will
struggle...he's only 22 and tonight will be the 64th game in his NBA
career and only the 23rd start.

By contrast, it will be Duncan's 745th start...and that doesn't
include playoffs. And Duncan struggles every now and then.
