Denver got AI. What could have been . . .I almost feel like crying.

At least the Wolves still have Foye.

Making a trade because of what a player "deserves" is just plain
stupid. They should only trade KG if they get equal value in return.

I think KG's had a good ride here, and would only trade him if it were
to serve the interest of the Wolves. I can't find the link to a story
that suggested a trade to the Bulls, but it was pretty good.
I'm trying to remember.

Luol Deng, Ben Gordon, either Hinrich or Nocioni, and the 1st round
pick from the Knicks which could mean Greg Oden, or Joakim Noah. If
that can be done, do it now.

I for one am not that disappointed about AI. I think Charles Barkley
said it best, that AI is a hall of fame scorer, but not a team player,
and it's too late for him to change. Also how well would he have
meshed with KG, when I think correctly KG believes as most coaches do,
you play the way you practice.

Time to trade KG, imho. He doesn't deserve the treatment he is getting.
He deserves to be on a contender.

So how does trading your best part for less than equal value help you
rebuild? They still will have the Davis, Jaric, T-Hud and Blount
contracts. You rebuild by getting rid of them (if anybody will take
them), not KG.

I would trade KG for a Ben Gordon, Tim Thomas and 1st round pick deal .
.. .but that would be equal value, and IMO, Chicago would be stupid to
make that trade.

If the idea is to win a title, it might be quick reaching time where
you mortgage KG to get whatever you can, get a competant GM in here,
and start over.

They needed to get AI. Period.

You'll never get equal value no matter when you trade him even is he's
45 years old. This team needs to rebuild.

Well, ya know how it goes. He just might be available in a year. Or two.

Could have had Marbury back for a lot less. Hey, maybe still can.
Sorry, but I'm still a Marbury fan.

I don't think the Wolves are far from being contenders. There about a
..500 team right now. Next season Foye will be a quality player, at
least a third scoring option. Smith will be a quality starter. They
have good role players in Jaric, Hassell and Blount. James has been
inconsistent, but I still think he's a quality point guard. Davis will
always be a guy who plays horrible at times and great at times. They
are just one good player away from becoming contenders. McHale MUST
find away to get that guy in a Wolves uniform.

How does Chicago make that trade at all? They don't have Tim Thomas.

I'm sorry, but Kobe's not available.

I think he means, Deng. I would do the deal in a heartbeat.

`s OK. We'd like him to stay over there in Lakersville
shooting his meager .219 in "game winning opportunities".

Well, KG's .238 just kicks Kobe's butt in this dept, doesn't it? And
obviously any team would rather have Steve ".400" Francis, Derek ".500"
Fisher, Ben ".438" Gordon, and Damon ".500" Stoudemire than those clowns...

And don't get me started on just how much Chauncey ".192" Billups sucks...

It must be killing Wolves fans that their team is going to be in the
lottery.... again. While the Lakers are one of the top teams in the league.
We pretty much keep winning regardless of who is injured. Our 2nd string
pretty much kicked both the asses of the Minnesota and New Jersey starters.

Funny how both teams made it to the WCF a few years ago. The Wolves lose
Cassell and Sprewell. The Lakers lose Shaq, Malone, and Payton. Welcome to
the lottery. The difference is, the Lakers didn't stay in the lottery. It's
similar to the mid-90's. We went to the lottery once. But within a few
years, we were right back near the top competing for a title. Same thing is
happening right now. One trip to the lottery is all we needed. I'm actually
kinda surprised how quickly we've bounced back this time around. Sometimes
you gotta have a little luck in the draft. Bad news for Laker haters. Bynum
and Farmar are only 19 and 20 years old. Farmar already looks like a steal
in the draft. He should've been drafted MUCH higher.
