hi,
I think that is a well said observation. It is true in all seasons in sports.
For instance, which college team is immune to injuries?
Obviously, it is rhetorical at the extremes but where would Duke have been last
year with Monique Curry. I submit that we will never know.
It is to the point where I say all predictions pre-season have the implied
clause that "no major injuries occur". Including snake bites;).
This year in the NBA Kobe and Shaq were hurting. Chris Webber went down and
the Kings went out.
San Antonio stayed healthy and went all the way. I am not dissing San Antonio
just reflecting the importance of good health.
They were a great team.
