Please define these terms

Hello all,

We are not hugh sports fans. We are not big basketball fans, for that
matter. But the last couple years, we have been following our Suns.

There are a couple terms I keep hearing that I'm not sure what they mean:

1. Small ball
2. Board (a stat that they keep track of. I'm not sure if it is a
synonym for something else. Example: a player has 5 points, 4 assists, 2
boards).
3. In The Paint (I have a pretty good Idea what it means--what
lines/markings on the court define the boarders of "In The Paint"

I googled "nba basketball dictionary glossary", but all of them just seem
like copies of one another. They define official terms, but the don't
define the lingo of the sport.

When a team uses only "small" players, with a center of about 6'8". Small
players tend to be faster and better shooters, but have trouble with defence
in "the paint"

a board is a rebound

The paint is the painted section of the floor that goes from under the
basket to the free throw line.
