Sometimes I can't tell if you're just really bitter about the Bargnani
pick or you don't actually watch the games so you just guess based on
the boxscore. Or maybe it's a bit of both. >> Stay informed about: Done like dinner |

Pretty pathetic. That first quarter was a slap to the face of the
Raptors for sure. The second and third quarters were better - they played
with more intensity than I have seen in a long time.
It will be interesting to see if they can carry that intensity into the
first quarter of the next game.

Maybe you could grace us with your opinion of Bargnani's contribution
this season. I'm all ears. >> Stay informed about: Done like dinner |

So it's more the latter then, isn't it. We were talking about the
game, which you apparently didn't watch if you think we lost because
of Bargnani. >> Stay informed about: Done like dinner |

Tell me something -- how many games did Bargnani win for us in the
regular season, and why do you think the playoffs would be any
different?
Has Bargnani been a disappointment? You bet. But is it his fault we
keep getting blown out in the first quarter? Is it his fault he was
placed in the starting lineup at a position he hasn't played since
this time last year?
I'm not happy about the way Bargnani has progress (regressed) either,
but I'm not about to blame him for this (these) loss(es). He's done
barely anything for us this year, so why would anyone expect more out
of him during the playoffs? On the other hand Bosh has been amazing
for us for most of the year and barely showed up in Game 1. Ford and
Calderon were supposed to be our main advantage over Orlando, and
Jameer Nelson outplayed them both, combined. Anthony Parker came up
with an 0-fer last night. Moon is 1 for 8 in the series. After
averaging 16 and 8 in his past 15 games, Rasho is just 9 and 4 in the
past two games.
These are the guys I expected to play well, and they haven't. These
are the guys to blame for our losses, not Bargs. Next thing you're
going to tell me Joey's been invisible. ;) >> Stay informed about: Done like dinner |

Speaking of Mo Pete, I'd love to see them go deep too, but I'm not
sure they can get past the competition of the next round. They look
great right now because Dallas was stupid enough to trade away their
only legitimate big man for a 375 year old point guard to guard Chris
Paul. When they play San Antonio, things might be a little
different. The Spurs have more than a few bodies to guard West and
Chandler. Peja is basically worthless with Bowen guarding him. Or
they put Bowen on Paul and the Hornets offense just stops happening
period.
Playoff experience will play a big role in that too, I guess.
Maybe the Hornets have a better chance against the Suns.. >> Stay informed about: Done like dinner |

How many games have we won because of Bargnani?
I admit my prejudice..... I can't stand the mouth-breathing bum. The
honeymoon ended a long time ago. You may not agree, and that's fine with
me. It's a free country. I'd love for him to show me why he belongs
somewhere other than the end of the bench, but he won't. It was a wasted
pick, and we're stuck with him. Damn right I'm bitter. But the way
things are going, I don't think I'll care much after Saturday. Once the
Raptors go down, I'll be rooting for Mo to get a ring.

I was hoping the urgency of the moment might make an impression on him
and entice him to get off his lazy ass, but no luck there.
> But is it his fault we

You tell me. Is he on the floor to start the game? Sure is, along with
another waste of oxygen whose name I shall not mention. I'm not trying
to pin the losses solely on Bargnani, that would be foolish. I just
think it would be nice if he'd show something, *anything* besides
clanging them off the rim over and over. At least he made a couple of
shots in game two. For this guy, that's progress.
> These are the guys I expected to play well, and they haven't. These

I thought Bosh pretty much laid it all out there in the second game, but
he made some mistakes that hurt. Now Parker's disappearance is a tough
one to figure out, WTF happened to him? Our beloved coach doesn't seem
to think Rasho can hold his own out there. Hard to contribute if you
can't get on the floor.
It seems Mitchell is determined to run Bosh at Howard come hell or high
water. And why not? What other option is there? If we could just get
Howard to play like Bargnani for a game or two, we could get right back
in this thing.

Diop. Shot-blocker. That's all you'd need in that kind of an
offense. >> Stay informed about: Done like dinner |

Did I miss something here?
From nba.com:
>After six days of twists and turns, the Mavs dealt Devin Harris, Gana
Diop, Trenton Hassell, Moe Ager, Keith Van Horn, a pair of draft picks
and cash to acquire Kidd, Malik Allen and Antoine Wright from New
Jersey.

Wha? Nawww...... you're kidding me, right? You think they shouldn't have
traded Diop for Jason Kidd?????
