directtv sports package....question

I just ordered the direct tv sports package and the guy at direct tv said
that if there is a professional league playing on one of the channels (say
msg) that I won't get that game. Its only for their viewing area. I know
last year, I did get some of the games on this channel. I hope he doesn't
know what he is talking about. Anyone else heard of this. If that is the
case, I am going to cancel direct tv. the only reason I got it last year
was to watch the WNBA.

I remember for MSG games, the WNBA League Pass channel was blocked,
since MSG was in my viewing area. If I lived outside of the MSG arena,
then I could see it. The problem arose when the Liberty played on the
Metro channel...that doesn't make it up here to UPSTATE NY, it was still
blocked. But in all, I saw most every other game.
