Post subject: the fine side of the split
Archived from groups: alt>sports>basketball>nba>wash-bullets (more info?)

This game was so one-sided nothing can be derived from it individually.
The offense early looked liked Princeton-flavored "pro sets". That would
be almost as simple as my stuff.

AI can see Juan over his shoulder, so he nabbed 8 steals tonight. I'm
going to the game Tuesday. I saw thier first meeting in preseason last
year. Big fun. AI looked at Juan like "you annoy me" so Juan looked back
at AI like "you annoy me". Juan is starting to draw more fouls now too.
Like two from VC.

Brendan will catch those passes from Blake when he gets used to them. That
one to Etan was the type of thing I've said about Blake for years. There's
a certain class of pass that only Isiah Thomas makes, and now Blake.

Gilbert was very poised again. And chose to remain sane with the press. Oh
well, I can't have everything. They asked him if he was psyched for
LeBron. I'd like to think I'd have said, uh, sweetie, I practice with
Jarvis Hayes, Steve Blake and Jared Jeffries. And then some. And people I
can't tell you about in the summer. Like, LeBron wouldn't get picked for
the first game.

It was a bogus game, but Kwame still looked a bit sluggish. I think he
changes a lot of shots though in ways that are hard to notice, like people
wanting no parts of him. Like, what the hell is that, a bigger Ben
Wallace? Kwame missed a FT, so he's a mere 11-12? The swishes are at least
up to 6 now though.

Jahidi had a nice night. Tear up the West, dude.

As to the Cavs, try to jump on them early I guess. And run the hell out of
Ilgauskas. The Cavs almost got Indianoplace tonight though with light
minutes from Ilgauskas. I don't know why, but the Wizards want to figure
that out.

The Sixers had a 35-8 quarter last year against the Bulls or somebody.
This caused much agitation in the Western newsgroups, and the noise
slopped over into the Sixers group. That Beast in the East smell makes
Laker fans testy. 29-4 is sicker. Nice.

I was watching the game on Comcast and listening to Dave Johnson on AM for
most of it. That way I at least hear the action during some of the TV
commercials. The radio AM guys are great...

"I'm looking at Steve Blake and Juan Dixon standing there at half-court,
and, I'm sorry, but that's just cool."
