It seems to take something the Nuggets don't have to consistently be
able to finish a game.

San Antonio is the master of winning at the end. Denver is piss poor
at it.

Yep. Another bad loss. Doesn't even seem to matter what the caliber of the
opponent is or whether the game is at home or on the road. This team has
lost so many leads in the 4th quarter this year it is just maddening.

I figured that when the Nuggets got Iverson they would be unstoppable

I guess I was wrong :(

The Nuggets have played 14 games since Carmelo's 15 game suspension.
Raise your hand if you predicted that their record during these 14
games would be worse than their record during those 15 games.

So what do we do?? I noticed that Carmelo shot 10 for 15 in the All
Star game but Kobe scored more points

What would you rather have?? What is more valuable to the team?

Kobe was a starter

Wins. Teamwork. Coachability.

That was not one of the choices but I guess that will have to do

The Nuggets can't trade for what they need. Any trade to have a
different center or forward or guard won't solve their problem. They
have talent.

Carmelo was a rebounding monster at Syracuse, and draws double
coverage while leading the league in scoring. Nene is starting to
look like he will be worth his contract. I bet K-Mart will get a lot
of assists from AI next year. Blake has been a pleasant surprise.
And AI is still an all-star. Camby still can play defense.

But Carmelo doesn't see the court on defense. K-Mart stood around
more than anybody. Camby likes to play outside. Nene gets too
many fouls. Carmelo is already talking about next year (so is
Kenyon, but that's understandable) - the Nuggets know they can't beat
one of the top 4 teams in the Western playoffs.

But they have the talent to win - they just need to play the whole
game with discipline and intensity. How do they get from here to
there?

Good question. Another big night for Carmelo and Iverson yet another
loss. It must be aggravating for Iverson to play so well yet still
lose. The bench seems to be the problem being out scored 70-21. Who
can win with a bench like that. Also defense is also important.

It sounds like the Nuggets having given up though. I know I am kinda
depressed :(

I'm guessing he's used to that by this point in his career. ;-)

Iverson?? I hope not. I think the bench needs to wake up. It is too
dependent on Carmelo and Iverson

And they depend upon Camby for defense - but Camby concentrates on
blocking shots, and gets out of position so that opponents can drive
to the hoop.

What I am saying is the bench slacks off because their mentality is that
they have Carmelo and Iverson so they do not have to work as hard
