We're up 3. Worse thing you can do is leave a guy open on the perimeter as
what happened with Eddie House. I said when they went to commercial break,
foul 'em. got nothing to lose. they can't catch us with 2 free throws.
after the break, snapper said the same thing. next thing ya know. boom,
eddie bangs down a 3.

is that cheeks' call? is that stupidity? Is that a missed assignment? did
they not want to give up easy points at the line only to see the clips steal
the inbound pass or something? I really don't understand the thinking.
The worst possible thing that could have happened did. zach was pissed when
the game was over. you see him chuck his sweatband or something on the
court and just take off?

utterly pathetic display. I'm surprised it was as close as it was, given
that Sheed was hurt, but this is yet another one of those games we shoulda
had and freakin blew it.

Yes and most coaches do not like to foul in that situation.
Miss a FA and the opponent can win with a 3 instead of just tie. There is
also the worry that the player will throw up the ball and get 3 FTs.
Remember when Cassell got a 4 pt play that way and took the game to OT in
Milwaukie a couple of years ago? Damon won on a buzzer beater 3 at the end
of OT.

Randolph has been showing how much they need 'Sheed. last year without
'Sheed the other teams had not real scouting report on him, not it is just
swarm him. Have to have another player on the floor that demands a double
team...

The question is why we do we even care any more?

It was a pretty good NBA game last night. I sort of like watching
basketball.

It was a fun game. I hadn't seen Brand and it was nice to be reminded just
how good he is. Maggette has really come into his own. Coming out of duke
as early as he did, most questioned that he'd really amount to squat, but
he's flourishing and put on a lot of size.

And I really liked watching Derek Anderson. He seems to be about the only
Blazer out there having fun. Seems to always have a smirk on his face. and
playing well. You see that 3 he made from about a foot behind the 3 point
line? It was after Damon had hit a 3. Then the announcer said, the blazers
are on fire. At that point, I thought we were gonna win.

We were without Sheed and that hurt, but the Q has been playing great and he
wasn't in the lineup for the clips. I kinda wish everyone coulda seen him.
Exciting player.
