and my point which you are obviously are turning a blind eye to is
that the Lakers beat the Celtics twice. Again, the Celtics lost to the
Lakers twice. There has to be SOMETHING that the Lakers did
differently in those 2 games that made a difference. Like I said
before..i'm not drawing pictures.
If you wish to go profile each and every player on the Lakers roster
and note their individual defensive skills, I guess that could be done
easily enough but i'll spare the band width and just point out you
didn't give any credit to Gasol and and the defense he played on KG.
For the better part of the series his defense was ADEQUATE. You didn't
mention the fact that Odom was guarding a CENTER who should have
totally dominated him but for the better part of the series he was
ADEQUATE. And of course you disregard the fact that with such an awful
defense the Lakers finished with the second best record in the league
and was 2 games away from winning another title.
I guess the worst part of this discussion is that you actually state
now that you think Fisher plays even marginal defense..maybe you could
have said that about Sasha or Farmar or even Ariza..but FISHER? Fisher
just may be one of the slowest guards on this planet. But all in all,
most casual observers of the game only see box scores and don't
realize there's a tad more to it than just chucking the ball into the
basket.. >> Stay informed about: Admiration for Shaq... |
