That may be in the stat lines, but Denver wasn't exactly known for
their defense last year. In fact, they were probably the worst
defensive team in the league behind the Knicks, or at least amongst
the worst defensive teams in the league. (Laurel?) So it didn't do
much good for their defense.

That makes for $16M per year with the luxury tax. Lot of money for a
team going absolutely nowhere, so I'm sure that's why they wanted to
cut costs.

That's how I remember him playing in New York, yes. I don't exactly
remember him in Denver bodying up Duncan in all those playoff series
with the Spurs. (result? Spurs never lost more than a game in a
