My brother is also a Bulls fans. He remarked to me today that
the team has a 2 game winning streak and is 4-4 over the last
8 games. I replied that for me, the Bulls are basically Scott
Skiles, Kirk Hinrich, Kendall Gill, and a bunch a guys I just
don't care about anymore. (My brother and I saw Gill play
several times in high school; he went to Rich Central at the
same time we were at Hillcrest, if that means anything to you.)
Talent or no talent, I'm emotionally burned out on the other
players. They're like acquaintences who've let me down so many
times that I no longer believe their promises and frankly can't
remember why I even liked them in the first place. Really, the
only other Bull who I'd follow with some curiosity even if he
had never been part of the organization is Tyson Chandler. His
story is at least marginally interesting in a Samuel Dalembert
or Terence Stansbury kind of way. The rest are just inherited,
uninteresting, unwanted stepchildren.

I hope Paxson blows up the roster this off-season.

I just tuned in for the first time in about two weeks.
Incredibly, it's even worse than I remember.

I got home and, by chance, the television was on Fox Sports
when I turned it on. The Bulls were playing, so I sat down
to watch the last two minutes of the 1st quarter.

It's really unbelievable how bad they are.

Like a night in a whorehouse, I really don't remember the
order of anything, it's just a circular blur of atrocities.

Eddy Curry shoots an 18 footer... clank!

Hinrich runs a give and go with Curry. PJ Brown or Magliore
just grabs the ball right out of Eddy's hands when he's going
up for a dunk. Clean. It was like he was Mugsy Bogues trying
to dunk on Dikembe.

Linton Johnson gets a pass on a rare fast break, jumps in
the air under the basket, and... passes again. Hornets steal.

Jamal Crawford double-pumps on a three-point attempt. Clank!

All of this happened in less than two minutes of play. Tom
Doer brought us into the commercial, and I remembered that
I had to oil my belt sander and went out to the garage.
