....or the off-season might get dull. : )

I think he may be giving Damon a run for most recurring knucklehead
incidents as a Blazer with this one. He has 2 cars involved in racing
& 2 loaded guns, although he is legal with the guns as he has a
concealed weapons permit. Actually, IMO, the fact that he has a
concealed weapons permit is the most disturbing aspect of the story.

just when you think they've turned the corner, he shows he's a
knucklehead who has no clue.

but hey, at least he's in portland.

There's no reason for an NBA player to pack heat, it just gives them more
opportunities to make bad decisions. If they've got legitimate reasons to
fear for their well-being, they should hire a body guard. If the danger is
directly related to the fact they're NBA players, the players union could
provide the protection so the players don't have any trouble feeding their
kids.

Even assuming there's a valid reason for Randolph to carry, why does he need
2 pistols in the same car? It's just another aspect of the ganster
lifestyle that, IMO again, has far more chance of producing negative
outcomes rather than positive ones.

Go Blazers !

Perhaps there is a reason. You usually do not need one but they do come in handy at times....
Since he is licensed unless they are on the job where it is not against the CBA.

So does drinking and strip bars but there is no different set of laws for NBA players....

A gun is a lot easier to stick under the seat.... =)

Perhaps we should be more concerned about what they were not doing legally than what they were?
The racing on city streets is a lot more dangerous than having a gun.

Perhaps the NBA should make gun safety training part of the rookie indoctrination camp instead of a
short discussion on the dangers of gun ownership.....What was dumb is not having them stored
properly.

Perhaps they were on the way to or from a shooting range.

You may be right....but it sounds a tad bigoted.....=)

Pippen got arrested for packing where it was not legal.
I would not be surprised if a majority of NBA players pack guns.

I won't deny the dangers of racing, but I rather try to dodge a car than a
bullet.

Poor storage was one of several dumb things going on at the time.

Not at all, I feel the same whether it's Randolph or J-Will.

Still doesn't make it a good idea, at least to me, but to each their own.
