I don't know what you mean. I was posting and sent before I finished
my post so I wrote ERRRR in response to my unfinished post, which I
then finished. Not being critical of your post at all. James Jones is
someone you don't really need... >> Stay informed about: Who are those guys? |

Not the way he is shooting...Instead of 5-0 they would be 1-4 the last 5
games without him.

Bottom line, when you challenge for the finals in 2010 (hopefully
against the Warriors for the conf), Jones will either be off the
roster, or on the end of the bench.

With the spot filled with some other good outside shooter. They may not need
him, but they and every team need that type of player and they will be in
the rotation, which is why Kerr and Horry have so many rings.
The one that so far I would say is the least helpful is Frye....

Perfect comparison, at least so far this season, as Jones is filling that
role (& the basket) quite nicely. I'd love to see him stay with the team,
but if he gets relegated to the end of the bench, he will surely draw enough
interest from other teams that he would be traded or go FA.

Yeah, I still have hope for Channing to live up to his early hype & flashes
of brilliance, but he's not showing much yet.

He has an option this summer. Next season scheduled for just over 3 mil.
Think he will opt out?
I doubt anyone is giving him a MLE.

I don't see him opting out unless his game improves quite a bit. $3 mill is
more than I'd imagine any other team would offer for his current
contributions & you can only go so far on "potential".
I'd love to see him step up his production & give us that problem to deal
with, though. : )
