It was a roller coaster ride but in the end the Knicks cemented
the best possible playoff matchup available. The Bucks didn't.

They also "cemented" a losing record. The Bucks didn't. Props to the Knicks
on that one.

Big whoop. Last I checked it's all about championships.

After the Bucks choked there way to a trip to Motown. How long do
you think it'll take the Pistons to k.o. the Bucks' championship run?

Of course you can b.s. me and say you think the Bucks have a
chance. As a fan I'd respect your optimism. Will I buy it? No.

This isn't about present time. Both clubs will end up in the 1st round, no
question. It's about the future. Right now it does look brighter for Bucks,
doesn't it?.

Its a brighter future when you get a healthy TJ Ford back.

Thing is TJ may have an easily aggravated spinal cord. So he's
always 1 trip to the floor away from a season ending situation.

If the Bucks make the mistake of dumping Redd though its over.
I was surprised to read on jsonline's forum, fans hating on Redd.

Even seeing talks about trading him. Talk about not seeing the
forrest through the trees. I agree the Bucks have a bright future
but that bright future includes Redd.

True. So in other words, the Knicks and Bucks have a pretty similar history
of futility in that regard since neither has won a title in 30 years or so.

In all probability, about as long as it takes for the Nets to dispose of the
Knicks.

Well you stumped me on that one.

Please man who's kidding who. You'd give anything for the Bucks to
be playing the Nets rather than the Pistons. Lets be real about that.

It wasn't too tough to figure that one out. If you're a Knicks' fan, you
should be well-versed in their championship history. It's easy with the Bucks
since they've only won one.

If the Nets are healthy, I'd rather play the Pistons. The Nets are the
two-time conference champs and I'm not going to discount them so easily. If the
Nets aren't healthy, then yes I'd rather play New Jersey. But that doesn't
change my belief that the Knicks aren't very good and will be lucky to win more
than one game in this series. Outside of Boston, I don't think the Knicks could
beat anyone in the East in a playoff series.

I was stumped because you totally discounted (ignored) the
EC Championships the Knicks won in the 1990s.

I don't easily discount EC Champs. Its a hard title to win and
its a hard title to hold on to. But I'm not ignoring present day
realities either, the Nets are a hurt team.

Yup, but we'll have to see how that plays out now that the playoffs have
begun. I remember "hurt" Celtics teams years ago rising up and stomping all
over people in the playoffs. Not saying the Nets are on par with those Bird
teams, but the playoffs have a way of healing people mighty quick. And I don't
discount the Nets' playoff experience and savvy.

Sorry, I just don't think the Knicks are very good. Their losing record this
season didn't impress me much.

Howdy. I'm a Pistons fan snooping in on this group thinking I might
find some anti-Pistons trash talking to psych me up. But instead I
find entirely reasonable discussions of the upcoming series. Oh well:
here's to a fun, competitive series.--Joe

IMO, It could have easily been a winning record but for the adjustment
period/six game losing streak when Thomas came over and several other
major role adjustments occurred. Had they been as cohesive as they are
now I don't think it's a stretch to say that they would have won at
least 3 of those games considering the competition. Thus, they would
be looking at the 4-5 seed instead of the 7. Not to mention they were
10 games under .500 when Zeke took over.

At this point in their development, I'm pretty confident that the
Knicks would take out Boston, Milwaukee, and New Orleans, possibly
Miami though they've been tough up late. As for the Nets series, we'll
see. They're kind of like a coiled snake right now - whether they will
strike hard is somewhat unpredictable considering their injuries. They
do have the advantage of familiarity and experience no matter what
though. The Knicks have talent, and healthy talent and I expect an
entertaining series.

If Isiah can pull one or two decent moves this summer and keep the
core (Marbury, Houston, T Thomas, Nazr, Sweetney (over Kurt IMO), and
DerMarr) intact we should be looking at home court next year.

G Smitts... I agree with you, and I think 99% of the Bucks fans here
agree with you, the Nets would be a much easier ride then the
Pistons... I am almost certain we aren't making it past the first
round, but respect wise... I assure you it won't be a sweep or blowout
by the Pistons like most people are predicting...

I felt bad, but seriously guys the Bucks deserve the 6'th spot, the
Heat deserve the 4'th, those last three games, if you choke those like
the Bucks did, you don't deserve better...

Lets just hope the Bucks make a name for themselves, more then they
already have this year, and give the Pistons a run for their money...
In the end it was a great year that could have been much better...

P.S. lets just say the bucks are up by two against the Pistons, you
know the refs are gonna start chockin on the whistel on the bucks side
of the court... no way he wants the bucks to make it past the first
round...
