he's doing pretty well isn't he....

he needs to reduce his turnovers which are in part due to him
sometimes driving into clusters of defenders...often because zach is
circling close to the basket as well. Some spacing improvement needed
there.

I missed the game if it was televised. I see zach, roy & JJ played
heavy minutes while nate did his sometimes baffling substitutions of
the bigs...aldridge-joel-jamal-rafe all got 12-17 minutes. Make up
your mind nate!! of course maybe they all played C-minus bb, hence the
short minutes for the long fellas.

I see that martel contributed in the game. If he sticks to his
pattern, he'll dissappear for the next 2 or 3 games now.

when you look at portland's record and then hear people talk about how
the Spurs are playing poorly it's a bit amusing. They're only on a
pace to win 57 games! LOL...Blow-up the team and start over!!!

We have been pretty lucky this season in drawing teams who are missing
a key player or two. Not having Redd on the court certainly makes it
easier to win. Of course, in the past few years we managed to still
lose most of these games, so at least that's an improvement. : )

Cue the Miracle Max line from The Princess Bride, "While you're at it,
why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it?"

Chargers, no contest. About the only good thing I can come up with for
SD is they are returning almost everyone next year & with the
experience they got (the hard way) this time around, they might be able
to go farther next season.

Of course, as a long-time Chargers fan, this isn't the first time I've
said, "Wait 'til next year". : )

Post subject: Roy on ROY rankings [Login to view extended thread Info.]
Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

1. Brandon Roy (POR)
23.0 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 3.3 APG, 3.00 SPG, .553 FG%, 7-10 3PT in 3 games
The Rookie Report took the week off when Brandon Roy returned from his injury. His play picked up
right where he left off and when we returned, Roy returned to the Top 10, re-debuting at No. 9. A
week later, he was up to No. 7. Last week, he was at No. 5.

While Roy continued to do his thing, we kept an eye on his game totals (compared to the rest of the
Top 10) and let him slowly move up the rankings. But we can't hold back any longer. Brandon Roy is
the best rookie in the league, head and shoulders above anybody else right now.

Last night, he capped the best week any rookie has had so far with the game-sealing bucket against
the Bucks. And it wasn't the first time (nor will it be the last) he made a big play down the
stretch.

Of course, Andrea Bargnani certainly has the skills and the size to be the best player out of the
2006 Draft somewhere down the line, but when it comes to being consistent and clutch, he's got
nothing on Roy right now.

well I was a charger fan even before my fellow UofO alum Fouts was
flying Air Coryell (think hadl, allworth, lincoln, lowe, and ladd)

take this years defense and add it to the Fouts years...wow!

that game about 10 games ago was SO typical for a chargers/blazers fan
to witness...all the mind-numbingly stupid plays coupled with the
inability to make just ONE big defensive stop at crunch time....the
results are just so predictable.

there were about 10 plays in that game....all mental mistakes....and
all went in favor of NE. Reverse any one of them and the chargers
win.....but NOOOOO
