good god people. how much longer are you fools gonna keep making excuses
for kobe? he's the common denominator in all the squabbles over in laker
land. kobe vs. shaq. kobe vs. phil. now kobe vs. karl. kobe vs. all the
young, new lakers. do the friggin' math and connect a few dots here. damn.
then listen to what the rest of the nondelusional world hears and realize
that kobe's accusations are probably retaliation for karl saying he didn't
want to play for the lakers after kobe absurdly stated something to the
effect of "we shouldn't have to look over their shoulders, wondering whether
karl is going to rejoin the team." what the hell is a seasoned vet like
malone *supposed* to think of a statement like that? it would be different
if kobe was a true leader who commanded respect and could call people out.
but he isn't. maybe he believes he's that person but he ain't. not yet.
and at this rate, he never will be.
kobe is behaving like most spoiled young adults act. he wants it his way
all the time and he's never willing to accept any blame. always quick to
make excuses and accuse others. then surrounds himself with similar
self-centered individuals who support his egocentric belief system. classic
denial. and the laker franchise is allowing it because they can't afford
not too. pathetic and shameful. it represents everything that's wrong with
both professional basketball and society today. no big surprise that the
setting is tinsletown, huh. >> Stay informed about: kobevision |

I was a huge fan of Pedro Guerrero, but I don't get the connection. Is
it the Prima Donna thing?
Damn, I hated that trade. The Dodgers got John Tudor for all of six
starts, but the Dodgers won a championship anyway, so Fred Claire got
congratulations.
Of course, I had know idea how much I could hate a baseball trade until
about ten years later...
Oooh, don't get me started...... >> Stay informed about: kobevision |

I'm a Pads fan so I was glad to see him go (he killed our pitchers).
The theory (& I admit it's my own) was based on the scuffles Pedro had with
guys on the Dodgers. If my memory serves, it went like this:
Pedro & Sax get into a shoving match in the dugout &/or locker room.
Everyone says, "Well, that Saxy, he can be a hot head sometimes."
Then Pedro gets into it with Tommy. Everyone says, "Lasorda is so
passionate, etc."
Finally, it's Pedro & Mike Marshall. Someone says, "Hmmm, anyone notice
it's always Pedro & somebody else?"
Pedro is then traded. Go figure. : )

They shoulda said, "That Marshall is what the old school used to call a
'malingerer'." >> Stay informed about: kobevision |

That is a good analogy.
Pedro issued one of my favorite lines when Sax was throwing balls to
Chatsworth and Pedro himself was playing way out of position at 3rd late
one game (maybe a long extra inning?)
Asked what he was thinking: "Don't hit it to me!"
Asked what else: "Don't hit it to Sax!!!"

While I enjoyed being a Dodger-hater for years, it was always hard to
dislike Saxy. Not only did he hustle all the time & get his uni dirty every
game; we could usually count of him to air mail a throw to 1st into the 8th
row in the late innings. What a guy. : )
