There is a window for winning, it closed on LA a few seasons ago and
unfortunately it is closing on Detroit now.
The East is becoming more competitive with teams like Boston (stacked)
Cleveland (confident and dedicated to keeping James),
Atlanta (growth spurt contributed to success against Boston), Olando
(simply seasoning) etc.. so the East isn't a cake walk any longer.
Add to that a new mix of Pistons where they need to focus totally on
burning up the score board, yet they have defensive minded coach who's
lacking a legitimate shot blocker. You need a big hand in the middle,
currently the Pistons don't have one so unless another trade is made for
an intimidator Curry's ideals will not work.
Another fact, is that Curry lacks coaching experience. Over looked were
Bill Laimbeer and even Dave Cowens both hold winning nba credentials. If
Curry was Sheed's choice and Pat Sullivan entered to pacify him it's not
working. He's playing dismal and not inspired as many anticipated. He
might or should be the one moved for a real big man.

If you think Iverson is the problem you're not the basketball person
I've given you credit for being.
You have a rookie coach, who has veteran assistance team. You have a
defensive minded coach who has a high octane offensive team. And
despite that we've seen what this team can do when they have it
together,,,see LA, and San Antone contest.
Curry was never a good player, and he'll prove himself to be an even
worst or at best mediocre coach. Prince at power forward is a joke.
Prince at the point is a joke. Tayshawn needs to play his natural
position. The line up alterataion should have been the insertion of
Stucky, and the benching of Rip who's been slow to get it going all
season. And we have to start playing our bigs! No reason why Brown,
Maxiell, Johnson etc...aren't getting more minutes.

If you can not see Iverson is a major problem you reinforce my opinion
of you as a basketball person...
Last game the ofense looked good...especially after Iverson following a
0-8 24 minutes got hurt and sat and watched as Stuckey dropped 40. =) >> Stay informed about: What's the matter with the Pistons, in a nutshell! |

Right... for SG bench Rip, a rhythm shooter who would likely suffer from
not starting and who is shooting 54% (78-147) including 50% (13-26) on
3s over the last 10 games.. for your hero shooting 42% (61-145) and 35%
(7-20) on 3s...
Bench Iverson and forget butter finger Brown.
Denver 18- 8 with Billups
Pistons 11-11 with Iverson >> Stay informed about: What's the matter with the Pistons, in a nutshell! |

And they won 50% of those...
so 38 in a double OT and they lost...a prefect game to be the savior
with rip et all fouled out... and 28 in a win over the mighty 4 win
wizards...
In the 2 games since he scored 15 total... shooting 22% 4-18
W-L 11-11 since Iverson >> Stay informed about: What's the matter with the Pistons, in a nutshell! |

Well now the Pistons are 12-11 with Iverson. It should not have taken
a last second shot to beat one of the worst teams in the league.

The window in the East has narrowed.
For the last four years the Pistons should have been the Eastern
conference champions, there was nothing in their way.
Now Boston has emerged via trades, Cleveland is growing and the addition
of Mo' Peete is a plus. Orlando is playing well, Atlanta is gaining
confidence. WE were not going to get past any of the these with last
years roster. A change had to be made and it may not be over it,
another could well come involving Rasheed Walace. And it is not
impossible for Curry's role to be diminished. His treatment of personel
is adolescent. The benching of Johnson, Brown, and others isn't
forgiveable by them. At some point they'll rebel and simply look to
collect a check. Curry better study the ego book instituted by Daddy
Rich. Benching AI isn't even in the equation, sitting Sheed or Rip
is...

Except the better teams that beat them...

Since Iverson the defense is so bad they are getting knocked out in the
first round from 7th or 8th spot if your January miracle does not come
to pass...

Like Iverson 'Sheed is an ending contract and Joe is talking cap space...

say what?

Bust Brown is lucky he found yet another team to over pay him.
Amir had a chance and showed he was not ready...and he is an adolescent...
