Well, they pick the Knicks last and note that maybe the "three headed
superstar" in Boston might not be the second comming of Bird-McHale-
Parish.

The Celtics have put together a great team for the 00-01 NBA
season . . . too bad it's 2007. I think the Knicks will be, well, the
Knicks. The Nets could be in it if they get off to a decent start.
Otherwise I think they may start selling off the pieces if the season
doesn't look promising. The Raptors, I think, will likely repeat last
year's performance. And then there are the Sixers. I like the
direction they appear to be taking. Of course, they need to stick to
a single plan for more than eight months to restore my trust in the
organization. But the reality is, I fear, that a good season for the
boys in blue will leave them somewhere around the .500 mark. Which
probably isn't good enough to make the playoffs, even in the East.
But come one or more injuries or disappointing performances, and
they'll be doing well to win in the mid-30s.

Nobody in the East looks terribly strong, do they? The Nets might win it if
everyone stays healthy. The Celtics are going to be disappointed, the Big 3
are older and slower than they think. The Sixers could surprise if
Dalembert gets healthy and Iguodala wakes up.

Playoffs? - Went to the game last night vs Cavs. They looked pretty good without AI! Seems like Cleveland had the same problem as the Sixers have had most of the year, an over-reliance on its star. LeBron was weak last night, and the Cavs looked pretty sorry. ..

Personally..... I'd rather NOT make the playoffs. - Yes... I know that there is always a chance that if you make the playoofs, that "anything" could happen. However, being realistic and considering the teams future, I'd rather they NOT get in and have a chance at a decent lottery pick. The of...

Contact FTC to allow DirectTV to carry Philadelphia Sports. - The issue is now in the courts at the FTC. Comcast is trying to aquire Adephia and not be a monopoly. Manute Bol on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel - Thinks keeping getting worse for Manute. He was in a serious crash awhile back in a taxi driven by a drunk cabbie. Domestic dispute with wife. No job. All his money donated to Sudan. He made millions during his NBA career and now is living off..

Philly Sports Failure is Effecting My Life - Is there a conspiracy so that no Philly team ever wins again, ever? And getting close doesn't count. I don't care that we get an occasional Super Bowl (every 25 years) Cup Final (every 7-8 years) World Series (every 15 years). I mean no Philly team..
