Not much to discuss. Vin Baker getting released? Who will they sign to
sit? That's not exactly thrilling fodder.

Dwane Casey is a dead man walking. McHale likes to evaluate things every 10
games, so it may come soon, I predict no later than 20 games. It's
unfortunate in that he didn't choose this ill-fitting roster but nonetheless
it's his job to make it work.

I thought Casey was going to be good, said all the right things, had a long
apprenticeship. However I didn't see much growth over last season and this
year is no better. A closed door meeting after seven games? He's still
saying things about figuring out who's earned playing times, which shouldn't
be a problem since most of the guys are the same. Wittman'll come in, scream
at the players a lot and maybe get better results. The only saving thing is
that the NW Division is so weak that some sign of life may be enough to win
it.

He probably should be canned, but I'm not so sure Taylor would be
willing to eat the contract. I think he'll last at least through the
season, and probably longer.

I also thought Casey would be good. I gave him the benefit of the
doubt last season, but he hasn't made any changes to the way he
coaches. Particularly disappointing are his rotations, lack of
adjustments and offensive philosophy.

Pretty much my thoughts. He doesn't seem up to the task, but I don't
see a change on the horizon.

You know a coach isn't doing well when Krush and I agree on the merit
of a potential firing.

Casey is "a uniter, not a divider".
