Are you really advocating for a 30 something... coach killin' ...threw his
wife out naked...semiautomatic gun packin'... posse in tow... convicted for
hitting a women with a chair....raunchy rappin'..."We're talkin' bout
practice" ....pot smokin'.... urinating in public in a trashcan ...always
late....benched in the Olympics....Iverson?
For a rebuilding team were he
would be just sooo happy the next 3 years?

So the whole character over talent thingy is toast?

Man I needed a good laugh....

thanks Laurel

LOL....and I'm sure when he saw it was from you he said "Oh Boy!!

I prefer a blazer team withou zach because no matter what kind of
shape he's in, he'll still be a selfish player that doesn't make his
teamates better.

But trading him and others for Iverson is an assinine notion. One
ballhog for another...no thanks

However, I read that Baron Davis may be on the trading block as well,
that may be worth exploring a little. He's got a bit of ballhog in him
as well, but he's a pretty good team player too

But he is the best one on one player...=)

Davis would be good... but I would not like a Zach trade for him. Magloire is likely to walk next
summer and that leaves Rafe for the front line offense.... Besides which they would want one of the
young PGs too.

I doubt GS would be very interested in any event

I'm not a fan of zach's game though, so I'd like to see him
traded...but I think he's probably here for a while...damn!

I want to give it awhile. His knee is supposedly 100% now and he talks about getting back to the
post game so perhaps we can see some real improvement this year. And there will be more outside help
so perhaps he will not get double teamed as much...

And it was true...the "likely" part at least.... if I knew it depended on Big Ben leaving Detroit
and Joel turning down Detroit and SA....I would really have bet heavy against Joel staying.

Magloire might stay for the money but he is not staying because portland gave him a break when no
one wanted him... I sort of expect a contract type year and the Blazers overpaying him....

Exactly...=)

Maybe Cantzano needs new material for his column.

I'm willing to give Zach one more season to prove he's worth anything close
to what he's paid, but if he doesn't start passing the damn ball once in a
while, it's going to be another long season.

You can say he hasn't had many decent shooters to pass it back out to, but
after attending a couple of games last year, I realized that what I yelled
the most during the game was some variation of, "Pass the freaking ball,
Zach!"

Hopefully, this is the year he finally gets it, if not package him with
Miles & go after that new mascot.

Go Blazers !
