What a blatant foul, an intentional foul even.

The Spurs are as good as the 1972 Russian team.

wow...the sour-est of the sour grapes.

officiating was horrid both ways. both duncan and james' 3rd fouls were
awful, and the offensive foul on parker was a joke, just to name a few.
and james definately should have gone to the line at the end of the game.

It was awful officiating but the Cavs failed to take advantage of the
opportunities they had. Maybe lack of Finals experience and nerves or
whatever, but I hope that they are still "on the rise". As for the Spurs,
they've proven to do the litttle things it takes to win championships. They
deserve credit where due.

Actually at the end of the game, Bowen did try to foul - BEFORE James tried
to even take a shot - the refs didn't call that. It would not have been in
the act of shooting and James would have got 2 free throws - not enough to
tie.

it looked to me like he easily could have been given a continuation
foul. he was turning and had already picked up his dribble, IMO.

Not as awful as having to put up with ignorant Yanks cross-posting to an ng
that has nothing to do with net-ball.

Oh...and BTW, if anyone had any real expectation that the Cavs could win
this series must have been high.

I actually really like Americans.
It's just that some of them have this attitude that winds the rest of us up.
A kind of naive arrogance.

I was disappointed in Daniel Gibson last night. Had he played the way he did
in the first two games, it could have been a much different outcome. Even
though I'm a Spurs fanatic, I always want players from my alma mater to do
well :-)

I think he will do well in the future. In the Cavs system, I think he will
now get more experience, and learn to vastly improve his defense. Great
times are ahead for the Longhorn.

I agree. And two of the announcers agreed it was a 3point shooting foul.
The continuation was there. It wasn't called. But, I don't feel cheated in
this one by any means because the Cavs could have had a double digit lead by
then if they made some of those many open shots. They know it. They are a
"no excuses" team, and that's why I think they will learn from this and be
better next year.

It was an intentional foul too, so they would have gotten free throws plus
possession.

No. The ball was leaving James' hand heading toward the floor when Bowen
tried to steal it, initiating contact. If you blow the whistle, the Spurs
would be the injured party if three shots were given. Only two were earned.
Good Defense, but not if the refs screw you with a delayed call.

hhmm.....i need to rewatch the play, i dont remember the 1st second or
so of it...did lebron get fouled on a dribble? when he turned into his
shooting motion, bowen got him on the back/shoulder. i dont remember
any other contact before that. i remember bowen taking a swipe and
missing, but the contact was on the shot attempt.
i still have the game on my DVR, if i remember, i'll check it tonight.
