If memory serves, the plan involves flying them in from Atlanta.

My $2 is that Casey is the wrong man for head coach of
the Wolves. There is no doubt that he is a fine human
being, well prepared, etc., etc. but he looks to me to be a
long, long way from being the kind of guy who can come
up with winning strategies, game management, and even
those motivational halftime speeches, given any combination
of players.

I'm thinking about the quote about Bear Bryant: He can take
his'n and beat your'n, then take your'n and beat his'n.

Even before the trade with Boston, the Wolves looked
awfully freelance on offense and clueless on defense.
They still do. Hey, I blame Casey. And let's ponder the
Olowokandi thing. Apparently, he claimed that he was
promised some kind of role before the season that never
materialized. Since it (clearly) doesn't take much to get
Kandi to stop playing, boom, his only value became his
expiring contract.

Short of the ECF by one bad call. 55 wins regular season. He averages 22 on 50%, 8 rbs and 5 1/2
asts.
He had about the same stats the next year when they won 47 for 5th seed and Jordan was back for the
last 17 games.

Blazers would not have got to the WCF nor to a game 7 in that series without Pippen either. Likely
Minny would have beat them in the first round that year without Pip. No one ever had a higher BBall
IQ. I remember him in series by the 2nd game knowing all the opponents signals and plays and call
them on defense.
And for the last two years he drug them and Cheeks to the playoffs with Pippen doing most of the
coaching... I had only a mild appreciation for his game until I watched him as a blazer for 4 years.

Jordan did not try either.

why does he keep quitting?"

He was a Blazer for 4 years? Why did it only seem like 2? Strange to think
that the end of the Bulls dynasty was around the halfway point of his
career.

Because he was out part of the last two seasons with surgeries?

More like 2/3s and it was well past the end of his prime when he left, he was 33 years old.
He was at Chicago for 11 years, Houston 1, Portland 4. then 1 back in Chicago for 23 games.
He had back surgery in the summer after he left the bulls too.

I generally agree, although I gotta say that Pippen did do all right
without Jordan. MVP-caliber season.
