Maybe by the time this posts Pip will have signed with
Chicago and I'll be wrong which would be fine. But...

It seems to me that if your Pippen there is only one
reason that you come to Chicago and it is that you have
reached a point in your career where you have won
enough and get more satisfaction out of helping your
old buddies build someting for the future. If you're
not sure that is what you want to do two days into
the signing period then I think that is your answer.
The amount of time this is taking is starting to
feel kind of Eddie Jones-ish to me.

Given the current FA crop I'd be perfectly happy to have
Pip sign but Im not really sure he is worth waiting much
longer for. He is coming off surgery and has only played
a full season once in the last six years and has missed
around 20 games for the last three years in a row. A
healthly Pippen might put us in the 8th seed but that
looks like a big if.

My guess is right now that he goes to Dallas

I agree also. Pippin could rule this town,off the court he would get tons of
promotions. Most importantly he would retire with the team that brought him
glory and he would get his number retired. I am really hurt at how stupid this
guy turned out. Lets not forget this guy bad month the team. He could wash away
alot of the negatives

I have to say, after reading his comments, I'm pretty
much leaning away from him signing with the Bulls, too.
He acts as his own agent so what's he's basically
reporting are a direct confirmation of the offers he's
getting.

Cuban already has like 12 assistant coaches down there
(I think it was between 10 or 12). He could probably
write it in the contract, if it's not illegal. Pippen
has always been the type of player that Nelson loves,
I doubt he'd have any problem with it, though I can't
figure out exactly what he gives the Mavs that they
don't already have.

I'll go you one better, I think Pippen signs somewhere else and before we can
scramble together, Newble signs with the Cavs. Desperate (again), we end up
with Anthony Peeler.
