Well at least a team from Connecticut will be involved in a tournament
for a change.

Bill Lambeer said before the playoffs that the Shock would take on the Sun
before meeting the Monarchs in the finals. Perhaps he's onto something.

FYI both teams have been in the WNBA playoffs before. Detroit in 1999
and Sacramento in 1999, 2000, and 2001. Every team in the WNBA has gotten
into the playoffs at least once. The Lynx were the last WNBA team to get
into the playoffs, doing it this year.

I think that maggieland was talking about conferences finals. That's
true that all these teams already had been in the WNBA playoffs before.
But this year finals are different and refreshing. It is no more
Mystics-Liberties-Comets and Sparks but Shocks Monarchs Suns and
Sparks.
