The inconsistant play of the Detroit Pistons is NOT due to the addition
of Allen Iverson.
A I is A I and will get his, not to worry. Iverson will do his thing!

So why aren't the Pistons tearing up at least the Eastern Conference?

It is because of Sheed's inconsistancy, and the numbers Rip is putting
up are horrible. Rip's acting like a bitch, he needs to learn the league
is a business and Billups wanted to go home as bad as the team needed to
trade him. The reality is we haven't been to the NBA finals since Ben
Wallace left and neither has big Ben.

These are not the same Pistons that won the NBA championship either. So
don't think the trade hampered any opportunity, if anything it helped!!!

Why stress defense?

We haven't played Piston D since Ben's been gone! Unfortunately we
haven't turned up the offense like Flip Saunders was supposed to bring,
so we've been in limbo. Everyone thinks its great that we've made the
conference finals a few years in a row, that's not the goal and the way
we were ousted isn't funny.

Currently only Tayshawn Prince is benefitting from the trade, Chauncy
held on the rock way too much and not Prince can be effective on the
offensive end and it is showing. This team needs to follow his foot
steps, they aren't the defensive stoppers of the past. This is a running
gunning shoot first due or die squad now. IT will fit A I, Prince and
Rip (if his head comes through the clouds) to a tee. But first you have
to have someone hit the defensive boards and we aren't doing that.
Hopefully Brown, Sheed and Dyss if he's returned witl get control of
that situation and get the ball rolling.

Where do we rank in the East?

Number one if they flow like I anticipate,

How about the coach?

Curry is defensive minded and is currently stopping this type of team.
Regretfully this is the type of team that would have benefitted most
from Flip!!! Horrible timing on the GM's part!

As a Blazer fan I loved watching him go 2-9, dribble out the shot clock
instead of passing to the wide open 'Sheed with the game still in doubt,
getting blocked twice and pout on the bench watching Stucky play
well.... Thanks Ivy.

"This is a difficult situation for us, because it has almost been like a
training camp for us since I got here," Iverson said. "I'm sitting more
right now than I ever have in my career, and my rhythm isn't there. I'm
missing shots that I normally knock down 110 percent of the time, and
that's all on me."

The Pistons have lost as many times since acquiring Iverson as they lost
in the rest of the regular season -- 26 games -- after trading for
Rasheed Wallace in 2004.

It's not fair to compare this new guy to Wallace, who joined a Pistons club
with a well established point guard in 2004.

Give the new guy a break -- he has to play with the burden of having Allen
Iverson on his team.
